Currently, Private Investigators are not licensed within the UK. However, there have been many conversations in parliament surrounding the regulation of the industry. We believe enforcing regulation for private investigators is essential.
However here at Private Investigators UK, We believe that licensing would be great for the industry. It will ensure everyone operates to a particular standard and ensure all investigators are acting lawfully.
Private Investigators UK are current members of The Institute Of Professional Investigators.
The Institute Of Professional Investigators has recently worked alongside WAPI & UKPIN. Who are other professional organisations within the sector to fill the void on licensing and have come up with a joint code of ethics & professional conduct for investigators to abide by.
All members of the above professional bodies must abide by the code put in place. It is hoped for that other professional bodies will follow suit.
